Dolores sanchez gonzalezI'm an incoming Ph.D. student in Biological Sciences at the University of Illinois Chicago. My research interests span two connected but distinct areas: wastewater-based epidemiology, using environmental signals to detect circulating pathogens in human communities before clinical systems catch them, and wildlife disease ecology, investigating how diseases establish, spread, and persist through animal populations and the ecosystems they inhabit.
